Yankees win Game 2 of ALCS 4-3
October 18th, 2009
Last night’s Game 2 of the American League Championship series had to be one of the best ever in terms of putting you on the edge of your seat. Both teams made errors and it seemed like in the 11th inning, the Angels would beat the Yankees because of a 3-2 Lead. But at the bottom, Alex Rodriguez hits a homerun to tie the game at 3.
Then in the 13th inning a throwing error made it 4-3 in favor of the Yankees. I was at the edge of my seat throughout the game because there were so many runners stranded on the bases from one inning to another but I am glad the Yankees won. Burnett Did a great job in the 5 innings he pitched but he could have done better in some of his wild pitches.
Nonetheless, Yankees lead the series 2-0 and tomorrow they go into California to face the Angels in their home field for 3 games (if needed). Hopefully they win two more in a row so they can have a long rest for the World Series.
